A Spade Calling A Spade A Spade

At last week’s G-20 meeting in Nice the French President Nicolas Sarkozy was overheard saying to President Obama, “”I cannot bear Netanyahu, he’s a liar.”

Obama was quick to defend his position with the Israeli PM.

“You’re fed up with him, but I have to deal with him even more often than you.”

The off-the-cuff dialogue between the two leaders to the Free World was heavily criticized by the media as an embarrassment of monumental proportions and the GOP will dredge up this tete-a-tete in the upcoming presidential campaign in order to lock up the Jewish vote.

In reality neither man said anything about Israel.

Their comments were directed at the PM, who has rejected every attempt by an outside party to broker a peace in Palestine, whether it be with the apartheid democracy’s continued seizure of land in the West Bank or resisting any suggestion of a two-state solution or the acceptance of Palestine as a member of UNESCO.

America has long been a blind friend of Israel. The Zionist nation can do no wrong in the eyes of the USA and the religious right have adamantly refused to counter any attempts to re-adjust the borders to the 1967 Truce lines. For fundamentalists there can be no Second Coming without an Israel.

A recent poll by Greenberg Quinlan Rosner suggested that the Israeli PM enjoys a 1% favorable rating advantage over the President; 52.3% to 51.5%. The pro-Israel group also reported that 52% of Palestinians welcomed renewed negotiation with Prime Minister Netanyahu, despite the hard-liners rejection of refugee return for displaced people.

President Obama has ignored the negative feedback from the Israeli press and mainstream media of the West. He said what he said. It’s no skin off his back, unless the Israelis want to push him further away from their cause.

There are 6 million Jews in America.

There are also 7 million Muslims.

And everyone has to remember one truth.

All politicians lie or in the words of the immortal Slick Willy Clinton about the Israeli PM:

“Who the fuck does he think he is? Who’s the fucking superpower here?”

That was in 1996 going to show that a dog doesn’t change the way shits on the floor.
