What’s this triumph mean for Thailand?
Nothing yet other today is another day closer to GW Bush’s 3rd term, however the US media detracted from Obama’s SC win by attributing the victory to his massive black turn-out.
“Niggers only care bout 3 things. Loose shoes, tight pussy, and a warm place to shit.” Earl Butz, Nixon’s Secretary of Agriculture, explained low black voter turn-out to GOP supporters. Good ole Earl couldn’t say that anymore. Brothers and sisteres care about Obama and not the pseudo-black Prez, Bill Clinton.
A Thai friend asked who I liked.
“Obama. He’s whiter than you.”
It wasn’t what he wanted to hear because he didn’t consider himself black. Thais have a real hang-up about color. Black means you work in the fields and working in the fields meant you were the lowest of slaves until 1905, the year Rama V freed the Thais from servitude.
100 years later they’re still struggling with color.
And so is America and that’s why it’s important.
Color.
Personally I don’t a shit about color. White, pink, brown, black, yellow, red. All the same to me, but Obama murdered Bill Clinton on his claim of being the 1st Black President. “I don’t know. I haven’t seen him dance.”
