Pattaya has long been a destination for pleasure-seekers from around the world. While not a big fan of Walking Street and its go-go bars, my support for the exotic arts remains firm. Like pornography, stripping is the first line of defense for free speech and expression.
Local authorities seem to disagree and this last weekend raided the POLO a GO GO after hearing from their farang quislings that several Russian women were dancing in a state of undress ie in bikinis.
A raid netted five Russian women and the Thai bar managers. Further investigation turned up that the women had valid work permits as dancers, however foreign religious groups have been complaining once more about the threat to Christian souls.
“Eve was not naked in the Garden of Eden.” Reverend Defrockee shouted outside the Soi 9 Station. “She was wearing a muu-muu made from leaves.
Thais are not so familiar with the Bible, however the police rightfully consider immodesty as a non-Thai trait and fined the five women 500 baht each.
The forces of the Thailiban are dedicated to closing all go-go bars.
Could this be the beginning of the end for our wickedness?
