For years the writer of www.mangosauce.com entertained and informed blog readers with amusing insights into all aspects of Thai life. His income was based on ad revenue generated by his readership. Over 100,000 strong. He fell into trouble with the great and mighty Google for sexual content. The writer fought for his rights, however Google blocked his ad stream and then blacklisted him after a personal attack on the Goggle censorship czar.
So much for mercenary free speech on the internet.
The writer has announced his capitulation in a recent blog.
Mango Sauce has welcomed literally millions of visitors over the years but, since Google AdSense pulled the plug, my once-healthy advertising income has dwindled to almost nothing. New advertisers have proved hard to find and, despite its enduring popularity, the site is commercially dead in the water.
