Dodging Metal

Yesterday a ton of copper tubing fall five feet from a Dave’s head. The metal sculptor turned around without a flinch. Any reaction other than frozen shock would have killed him. I was twice that distance and felt the impact of the metal on the concrete. It was heavy shit.

“What? Dave wore a big smile.

Doing nothing dodged death and that inaction brought out the best of life.
