Skinny Model Ban in Madrid

Ole para los Gordos

Spanish fashionistas rejected 3 overly thin models from the runway for achieving a Body Mass Index (BMI) of less that 18. The trio scored under 16. I’m a little over 25 at six feet and 185. Of course I lie about my height and weight. These svelte beauties had no such luxury. The fashion show’s medical officer declared the girls might be healthy. but they are too skinny.”

The doctor initially noted the girls’ country of origin as the UK, which is the European country fastest approaching the obesity levels of the USA. The good doctor got the accents misplaced as they models hailed from Italy, Poland, and France. no one said she ahd to be a linguist.

There are no plans to deny obese people access to the shows even though their weight also puts them at risk.

I spoke with Allison from a Toronto modeling agency. She had cautioned a model on the verge of anorexia. “Skinny is one thing. Skin and bones is another. I sat down the mother and daughter and told them to get their act together. No one wants a model who looks sick. She made the turn. As for the zero sizes. That’s the designers who make these clothes so small.”

Maybe they’re being vicious. I like skinny, but Allsion is right.

Skin and bones is not healthy.

My good friend Jamie Parker is worried that this ban may come into force in Thailand.

Only fat girls on the firepoles.

The bar owners will have to reinforced the stages if that comes true.
