Clean Election promised for Chonburi.

Two weeks until the Thai national elections and officials throughout the Chonburi Province have pledged to pride themselves in running the cleanest voting process in the country. No vote-buying and no armed thugs at the polling places. Democracy ala Thai thanks to the special attention of the province’s 5000+ police force.

Political parties expect a high turnout.

As much as 70%, but the largest share appear headed to PPP (People’s Political Party). Their electoral victory will disappoint the military junta, which had overthrown the PPP’s previous reincarnation, Thai Rak Thai.

December 23 will tell if Thais are seeking a change or another dance with the devil they know.

Ain’t much of a choice.

Either way.

I wish you could vote for Khun Nota or ‘none of the above’.
