Madonna Hypocrisy

In Tennessee Williams’ CAT ON A HOT TIN ROOF the character Big Daddy ives.jpgannounces after hearing his heirs fight over his will and testament, “Oh, the mendacity.”

Whenever the Catholic Church gets involved in the course of human events, you can bet sooner or later that you can paraphrase the classic line with. “Oh, the hypocrisy.”

Case in point. This week the Vatican released a film THE NATIVITY. The screenplay is based on the months leading up to the birth of the Messiah. The movie debuted in the Vatican to sincere praise. The teenage actress playing the Virgin Mary was not in attendance, since she is pregnant with child. Not immaculately conceived. The Church spoke-cardinal spun the scandal by saying. “She is an actress.”

Like Mary Magdalene was a whore.

Of course THE DA VINCI CODES  debunks that legend.taylor.jpg

Mary Magdalene was a saint like Maggie in CAT ON A HOT TIN ROOF.

My cousin Sharon says, “All men want a virgin to marry and to sleep with a whore.”

Could God be so different?nativity1.jpg

And if so who are we to question his decision?

After all to err is human but to err all the time is divine.

Was Mary a virgin first or something else and then God made her a virgin again to cover up?

Does it really matter?r3483803849.jpg

To the Church it does, because they will grasp at anything to deny humanity the beauty of sex. Even if it means accepting condoms in order to protect life. But then what do they know. As Earl Butz, the Secretary of Agriculture under Nixon said, “You donna playa the game you donna maka the rules.”

Nixon fired his ass for that joke.

PersonallY I thought ti was kind of funny.

Ah, you can smell the mendacity.
