In 1942 Isaac Asimov wrote RUNAROUND, a short story from I ROBOT wrote the Laws of Robotics.
First Law: A robot may not injure a human being or, through inaction, allow a human being to come to harm.
Second Law: A robot must obey the orders given it by human beings except where such orders would conflict with the First Law.
Third Law: A robot must protect its own existence as long as such protection does not conflict with the
Asimov later added the Zeroth Law: A robot may not harm humanity, or, by inaction, allow humanity to come to harm.
The Pentagon and police departments have used drones and robots to kill humans on thousands of occasions, obstentiously to protect troops and officers, since the drones and robots are controlled by humans.
No one is safe from robots in the hands of killers like the NYPD.
