RIP Rutger Hauer – Blade Runner

One of the greatest science fiction scene of all time is the ‘TEARS IN THE RAIN’ monologue by Rutger Hauer in BLADE RUNNER.

I’ve seen things… seen things you little people wouldn’t believe. Attack ships on fire off the shoulder of Orion bright as magnesium… I rode on the back decks of a blinker and watched C-beams glitter in the dark near the Tannhäuser Gate. All those moments… they’ll be gone.”

No other lines from a movie have ever so sublimely shown us Space for Man and his minions.

Farewell Rutger.

Clones were never designed to live forever.
