Fawn Versus Maureen

The other day the former owner of Danceteria emailed a youtube link showing the FOX NEWS correspondent on patrol with a Marine squad in Afghanistan. John’s nephew was also on this mission as a combat soldier. The squad came under fire and Oliver North maintained his cool having served as a marine in Vietnam.

After viewing that episode I remembered Oliver North’s conviction for his part in the Iran-Contra plot, his indictment on sixteen felony counts and subsequent convictions accepting an illegal gratuity; aiding and abetting in the obstruction of a congressional inquiry; and ordering the destruction of documents via his secretary, Fawn Hall.

His conviction were later overturned with the help of the ACLU.

The liberal rights organization will protect the Devil himself, but no more than Fawn Hall, North’s accomplice in destroying the evidence. This long blonde beauty bedazzled the Senate hearings and boosted ratings for the daytime drama.

In the end none of those guilty for crimes against the government of the USA went to prison and that was partially, because of the pardons by Reagan’s successor, George Bush, as well as that the illegal activities took place outside the USA, and lastly because Fawn Hall was so damn pretty.

If the men in America are shallow, then the Senate is a mirror of our weakness.

The bookend to Iran-Contra was Nixon’s Watergate.

A number of his closest associates were sentenced to prison for their offenses in this scandal.

Richard Nixon resigned to save himself from the same fate and he said upon leaving the White House, “I have never been a quitter. To leave office before my term is completed is abhorrent to every instinct in my body. But as President, I must put the interest of America first…therefore, I shall resign the Presidency effective at noon tomorrow.”

The nation breathed a sigh of relief to end this political controversy, but I was saddened by the disappearance of Maureen Dean, the wife of Nixon’s Special Counsel, John Dean. The blonde ice queen had mesmerized the male viewers with her elegant beauty in pearls. She was a goddess unattainable to mere mortal men and to this day Mrs. Dean has escaped the notice of the public.

There are no Wikipedia references to her in regard to Watergate.

She remains as mysterious as a spook, but I know who I would call for a good time in given the choice between Maureen Dean or Fawn Hall.

Always go with the square.
