Bill Clinton will be 60 on Saturday. At that age you are closer to 100 than 20. No matter what ageing baby-boomers says, 60 is not a 21st Century 40. Says 60 to someone 20 and they’ll turn you off faster than an outdated video game.
Of course when you’re president, absolute power shaves off a […]

Here’s an email from a friend.
She is a writer and we share the same astrological sign.
Every May she throws a party for fellow Geminis.
I was back in the States this May but she cancelled.
Here’s why.

The Gemini Party did not go according to plan. It got ugly at the S——- household, and I just couldn’t play […]

I was in my local having a cup of tea. It was the afternoon and my kidneys were fragile after last weekend’s industrial drinking. Stanley came down and said, “Gu’day.”
I like seeing Stanley at the bar, since he’s 59 and makes me feel young. His age doesn’t keep him from getting into trouble. There was […]

I have not seen MIAMI VICE. The movie.
I like the TV show. 1984-1989.
Guns, girls, and crime. Tubbs and Crockett.
I had been to that Miami Beach; Wolfie’s Deli, Little Havana, the Ace of Spades Bar, cocaine, cheap hotels, and fast boats. My friend found a kilo of blow on the beach and gave it to the […]

Published PINDELYBOYZ 2005
On the 4th of July 2000 I deserted my East Village apartment for my brother’s cottage on the Cape. My father met me at the Route 128 train station and we drove down route 3 across the Sagamore Bridge, reaching Cotuit mid-afternoon. My niece, nephew, and I swam in the ocean, barbecued with […]

Chris Rock does a piece about why men get married.
“You don’t want to end up the old guy at the club.”
The old guy at the club.
Pattaya is filled with them.
Drinking, drugs, chatting with girls, going to sin here and there.
I’m a witness. I like the night life. Always have. My wife hates it.
She tolerates my […]

Terrorism has cost us freedom in the air.
First it was Xray machines. Then it was taking off our shoes. Now it’s no hand luggage.
It’s easy to see the future in this instance.
We will be flying naked within the year.
And considering the shape of most Americans that will be scary than any terrorist threat.

Watching TV from the States and UK ie CNN, Fox, and BBC a viewer could surmise that the West is on the brink of disaster. Glenn Beck of Headline News has been predicting August 22 as the Day of Doom. This knucklehead blames Iran for the trouble in the Mideast and calls their leader ‘President Tom’.
This Mormon alcoholic rants […]

My second sister likes to say I lie.
In some ways she’s not wrong, even if I prefer to think I perceive things differently from everyone else.
She’s a lawyer.
I have my rules and she has hers.
I recently returned to Boston for my younger sister’s birthday. I know you’re not supposed to tell a woman’s age. I’m a bad […]
