NYC New York – JUNE 2006

It’s been two years since I’ve been back in New York and everyone asks if I see anything different.

First it’s colder than I remember, second I have to wear shoes and soxes too, third beers cost about 240 baht at a bar, and lastly young girls don’t smile at me. In fact they scowl if I look their way. Sure, I’m not Brad Pitt, but I have some nice qualities. All my hair and most of my teeth.

I tried putting a $50 bill on my forehead, but the girls sneered as if it wasn’t enough for a taxi. A c-note got their attention, mostly from fat girls searching for a all-you-can-eat buffet. I gave up and devoted my funds to beer.

All I can do now is dream about Thailand for the next two weeks.
